Balanced Diet Leads to Healthy Life

Balanced diet is the one which provides all the essential nutrients to the body which thereby helps in the proper functioning of the body organs.Thus, it aid’s in maintaining a healthy body. A diet is said to be a balanced diet when it contains carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fat, minerals salts and fiber all in the correct proportion as per each individual’s body requirement.
Each of these nutrients of balanced diet has their own importance  and contributes towards the functioning of the healthy body. Like :carbohydrates  provides energy, proteins helps in the growth and repair, vitamins are required to keep oneself healthy, fat also provides energy and contains fat soluble vitamins, fibre is required for functioning of the intestines, mineral salts are required for teeth, bones and muscles development.

So, for healthy body it is very important to maintain a proper balanced diet of all the essential nutrients in the correct proportion. It’s said a healthy diet gives rise to healthy body.However; the proportion of these vital nutrients varies from individual to individual and depends upon factors like age, gender, activity, profession, body size etc. The major sources where we can find our important nutrients are:

* Cereals
* Pulses
* Fruits
* Green vegetables
* Milk and dairy products
* Eggs ,meat and other poultry products

Hence, while planning our meals and starters, it’s essential to include these sources in our daily diet in order to provide the balanced meal.In case of unbalanced diet, it gives rise to numerous diseases and health complications. Like if there is insufficient  protein in your diet then there may be not proper growth and repair. In case of carbohydrate deficient diet, the body may feel lethargic, energy less,and tired. Contradictory, in case the diet which is very rich in carbohydrates, the excess energy is stored as fat and the person becomes obese.Thus, each nutrient has its function and anything in excess or anything in deficient has its repercussions on the health…….slowly leading to various health ailments like obesity, heart related disease, blood pressure, diabetes, cancer etc.

Thus, balanced diet provides and helps to maintain good health. It even helps to rectify various diseases by fulfilling the deficiency of the nutrients required and acts as a natural medicinal boon.
