Calisthenics Is For Everyone!

Calisthenics is a form of exercise that discourages use of weights and machines for your workouts. Most of the exercises are done freehand without the aid of any equipment.

One great advantage of this is that you can do the exercise almost anywhere. Therefore, if you are travelling or do not have access to exercise utilities, then also you can easily do a calisthenics workout in the comfort of your home or your hotel room while on a tour. This also means less monetary investment.

Calisthenic exercises can be classified into two types; namely aerobic exercises and anaerobic exercises. Walking, jogging, running, swimming, dancing are all aerobic exercises. Aerobic exercises are the ones that your body can continue to do for a long period of time. Whereas the exercises that body cannot continue for prolonged period of time are known as anaerobic exercises.

Aerobic activity is a very crucial part of all calisthenic workouts. This is because it helps build up your stamina. Always remember that calisthenics is a high impact form of exercise and mostly concentrates on specific parts of the body. It allows you to follow the natural pace of your body. All exercises in calisthenics are executed in a balanced and stable manner.

Hence, natural endorphins are released during such a workout, which promote a sense of well being. Thus, it enhances your mental health and keeps depression, stress, anxiety and other mental disorder at bay. Calisthenics aid immensely in improving the fitness level and physique of your body.  It greatly increases physical strength and endurance. It boosts the energy level of your body. It is very effective in burning unwanted body fat, thus gives you a lean form.

The flexibility and agility of the body muscles improves after practising calisthenics. Muscle coordination also gets a boost from this workout.  It increases the resistance of the body against diseases. It also reduces all body aches and pains. It also makes your skeletal and cardiovascular system stronger. As this workout increases the heart rate of a person, it lowers the risk of cardiovascular diseases tremendously.

Calisthenics involves simple as well as more complicated exercises. Thus it can be practised by beginners and fitness enthusiasts alike. In fact, due to the diversity of exercises, it can also be practised by people of all age groups and gender. If you know the right technique, these exercises are very safe. There is very limited chance of any injury or physical damage. These exercises can actually be fun to practise. There are routines in calisthenics that involve partners also. So, you can do these with an exercise buddy also.
