There are lots of men who want the V shaped body. This requires a lot of exercise and effort. You also need to take control of your diet and do a tough and regular workout. You will notice that swimmers have a perfect V shaped body. This is only because of the amount of swimming a competitive swimmer does.If you are not in to swimming competitively you will need to do a good swim workout and also loads of exercises. Make sure you swim at least three times a week and for at least one hour. Do a lot of free style and butterfly swimming as part of your workout. Besides swimming there are few more exercises that you will have to do to get the perfect V.

You will most likely have to join a gym as you will not have the equipment required for these exercises at home. First start with the bench press Hold a bar bell at your chest level and gently lift it up and hold it for a few seconds before slowly lowering it again. Make sure the gym instructor is around you if you are trying to life heavy weights. Do this for ten counts.

Now try the seated dumb bell lifts. Sit on a bench with your back and torso straight. Hold the dumbbells in your hand beside your shoulders and lift your arms up and try and lift them as much as you can; till your elbow are straight. Then lower the dumb bells to the original position.

Repeat this for ten counts. Next go for the barbells and stand in front of it. It should be on the ground. Bend forward and spread your legs slightly and lift the barbell off the ground and towards your chest; hold for a few seconds and lower it down. Repeat for not more than ten counts.

Another very good exercise is the chin-up exercise. This is one that you can do at home. For this you will have to put your hands on a bar that is fixed to your door and pull your body up towards the bar so that your chest touches the bar and lower your body again. This requires tremendous strength but will come with practice.
