1 teaspoon of honey and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice mixed in warm water is excellent for curing arthritis.

Roast 1-2 egg plants. Reduce it to pulp and fry it in 2 tablespoons of castor oil. For some flavor you can also add spices like coriander, cumin, garlic, turmeric, and salt while frying. For relief take this for 2-3 months regularly.

Add ½ teaspoon turmeric powder in warm water and take it twice a day to cure arthritis. Alfalfa tea is one more helpful home remedy for arthritis.

Mix 2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, 2 teaspoon of honey in warm water and sip this concoction daily in the morning.

Add 1 juice of orange in 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil, and sip it prior to going to bed. It will reduce arthritis pain.

Eating 1 raw clove of garlic on a daily basis is very advantageous. You can even fry this garlic in castor oil or clarified butter. Do this at least for 2-3 months daily.

For external application wintergreen, Camphor, and cinnamon oils are beneficial. Another treatment for external application is to make a paste of fresh ginger and 1 teaspoon of red chilies in ½ cup of sesame oil and filter it. Smoothly massage with this oil on the affected joints.  You can even apply garlic paste on the affected area. You can also massage with hot vinegar or sandalwood paste on affected area.

Arthritis Diet

The diet recommended for the arthritis patients include: coconut water, carrot juice, cucumber juice, coconut milk, beet root juice, vegetable juices and soups, cooked vegetables such as pumpkin, zucchini, and squash.  Spices like coriander, cumin, garlic, turmeric, fennel, asafetida, and ginger. Green salad dressing with little salt and lemon juice. Include diet loaded in minerals, proteins, and vitamins. Use copper glass for drinking water. Take in fish in your diet for its omega-3 fatty acids contents.


Avoid fried, hot, spicy food, and sweets. Also avoid food like cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, and potatoes. Excessive of alcohol, tea, coffee, yogurt, white sugar, white flour, cocoa, chocolate. Steroids, painkillers, antibiotics, and nicotine. Avoid too much use of stairs. Stay away from inappropriate postural habits.
