How To Build Muscle Fast

For most people, the quest for the perfect body can be a long and arduous journey. Building even a little muscle can take ages of persistence, disciple and rigorous workouts.

If you have been trying to get those much coveted muscles, the following healthy and practical tips to build muscles fast will help you to a large extent. Of course, these methods are rather demanding. However, the results will be worth the effort.

Tip #1
The law of Progressive Overload works well in the case of accelerating muscle development. This law states that when working out, the weights that are used should be progressively increased. By doing this, the demand on the body increases and the body adapts to the changes that are involved with increasing weight. Start off with lower weights and, with the assistance of a trainer, move on to the higher ones.

Tip #2
Increase the number of repetitions when you work out. Ideally, keep the repetitions between 8 to 12 and ensure that you progressively move on to heavier weights that do not allow you to go beyond 12 repetitions. Keep your workouts below 45 minutes as more or less than this time will not be right to stimulate muscle growth.

Tip #3
Eat a balanced diet. Remember that the food you eat fuels muscle growth. While it is a well known fact that proteins accelerate muscle growth, you would need to balance out on this as well. The ideal quantity would be one gram of protein for each pound that you weigh. Adding more protein than this can be detrimental in the long run. Drink between 10 to 12 glasses of water every day so that your energy levels are maintained at their optimum level.

Tip #4
Reduce on cardio work outs. Too much of these will come in the way of developing muscle mass. Cardiovascular workouts are ideal only in cases where there is the need to burn fat and not when you would like to build muscles fast.

Tip #5
While exercise is beneficial, ensure that you get sufficient rest as well. Growth hormone is produced in increased quantities while you sleep. Therefore, catch up on your sleep, help your tissues repair themselves by giving your muscles some rest, and get quick results in your quest for a muscular body.
