We often tend to get very carried away with our workout, especially sometimes when we start to notice results beginning to show. Although being passionate about your workout is very good, overdoing it can cause your body harm.

Here are signs to look for to know that you have gone overboard. It is important to cut back immediately  to prevent further damage.

The first, most obvious sign is an injury. This could be caused by working out too often, too long or by doing more than the body can handle. You must remember thats important as exercising regularly, is giving the body a break. This is when the body can rest and recuperate, and also when the body can actually help the muscles form.

Another sign of overdoing exercising could be in the form of an illness. This need not be an injury or pain restricted to the region that you are exercising. You could have some other health problem as well. If you have worked the body too much, fatigue causes the body to perform below optimum capacity. This could lead to problems like poor digestion, fevers and even congestion.

If you have been exercising too much, your muscles and ligaments may start to weaken. You will begin to cramp more frequently, will pull your muscle faster and also twist your ankles and other parts, and can tear your ligaments with no serious injury. This could just simply be the cause of your working the body more than it can handle.

Working too hard may lead to complete demotivation. Your body may be so tired and exhausted that you will not feel the urge or the will to go back and work out. There will be lethargy and and you will find that you are looking for reasons to stay away from exercising.

If you feel you have any of these signs, or more than one, it is time you gave your body some respite. You will see that when you go easy for a while, you will start to pick up energy and enthusiasm soon. If you continue to push yourself, you just might put yourself off exercising altogether.
