With more and more people becoming health conscious there is a greater awareness to exercise. We live in a contemporary society and therefore being beautiful and also being physically fit go hand in hand. The important thing about exercise is that it also helps you fight depression and keeps you physically fit.
The reason that you exercise is important. Overexertion will lead to your muscles getting sore and may in turn cause injuries and you will slowly lose the desire to exercise. If you are a beginner it is better to take it slow and should do slow routines and gradually build up the programme depending on the body.
The important thing to remember while exercising is to do a series of warm up stretches before getting into the actual workout. These stretches help to elongate the muscles and loosen them up and the more strenuous workout will once again shorten and tighten them up.Exercise falls into three types, isometric, aerobic and calisthenics. Isometric exercise involves the application of pressure and the exercise is done in short sets.
Lifting of weights is a form of isometric exercise. Aerobic exercise involves swimming, walking, jogging, dancing and skipping. Calisthenics are more traditional forms of exercise such as doing push ups, sit ups and chin ups. They are a combination of aerobic and isometric exercise.
Aerobic exercise burns calories and increases the heart rate and leads to a stronger and more efficient body. It improves digestion and gives you more energy. It is good to do thirty minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week. With exercise being the need of the hour there are a variety of exercise programmes now available in the form of classes, cd’s, gyms, etc. The main aim is to do what is to do what suits you best and what makes you feel good.
Choose an exercise that inspires you. Joining clubs and gyms will help a person who lacks self discipline. Set goals which are within reach and not unrealistic so that it is easier to stay motivated. Work at every session to achieve your goal slowly. So go and get that work out.
