You might have tried every exercise and diet plan in the book, but failed. Sometimes, getting a balance of both can be very hard. And try as you might, you just may not be able to keep away from food enough. Here are some slightly offbeat ways that you can get yourself to eat less. Try them.

It has been noticed that adding more spice to your food can help you lose weight. This is because spices which are added to food normally increase your metabolic rate and help the food digest much faster. In addition, when the food is spicy, you are less likely to eat larger portions.

Get smaller plates and cooking pans. Eating smaller portions is sure to help you. If you feel that you just cannot skip a meal, and have to have a certain number of foods, make sure you eat them in smaller sizes. This can help you feel satisfied, but also help you pack in fewer calories.

Try eating  meals at home more often, and rely less on foods from outside. Foods which are eaten outside and take away are normally higher in fats. Moreover, when you cook at home, you have more control of the foods that you use and also the amount of fat that you add to the food.

If you have the time, use your lunch and dinner times to catch up with friends. When you are chatting your friends up, you are less likely to eat more. You can also try and use your lunch times to set up appointments. You are not only getting work done during your break time, but you are also much more likely to eat less.

Make sure that you add a little turmeric to your meals. Turmeric contains something which is known as cur cumin, and this helps in fighting fats.

Try and work in a power nap into your day. If you are sleep deprived, there is greater chance of you putting on weight since your body is not performing at its optimal level. You may also accidentally believe that you are hungry, when it is sleep that your body needs.
