Contrary to common belief, you personally can change the rate of you metabolism. For the better of course. Increasing your metabolism is more beneficial than can be explained in words. You must stay active because it helps you increase muscle your metabolism, which in turn helps in reducing weight as well. Routinely perform a mixture of weight, interval and aerobics maintain your consistency. Lying down and slugging on the living room couch is the express highway to obesity and diseases.
It is unhealthy to stuff your body with 2 or 3 large meals each day. Spread the volume out. Do not change the amount of food you consume, just eat the same amount in small 5-6 servings in a day. This gives your body time to digest and absorb the food quicker and you stay active.
Change your diet if need be. Consume more protein-rich foods as oppose to high carbohydrates. Be strict with your dairy consumption. Drink white milk instead of skim milk and avoid cheese at all costs. Eat spicy food to some extent as it helps to burn down calories. But not so much that you get ulcers. The sweating signs the absorption of spices by the body. They thoroughly raise the metabolism up to around 50 percent for approximately three hours. The blood flows more smoothly in the body because of spicy food. It also increases the heart rate. Switch to green tea instead of regular one. It contains anti-cancer agents, caffeine and antioxidants that help speed up the metabolism.
Try to stay cool. Not in the sense of fashion and style, but more for temperature because it boosts your metabolism up to 20 percent. So does having a sauna. Ironically staying chill enough and having a sauna would both benefit the metabolism, being completely opposite. You should however; be cautious of going into a steam room or sauna in case you are suffering from any medical problems. Visiting the ICU will most certainly not aid you in increasing your metabolism. You can embrace these small simple daily habits and in a short while your metabolism will be skyrocketing.
